After the Dance of the Elements, we descended the hill slightly and encountered the best lunch ever!

At first, our tour company had suggested supplying box lunches, but instead we requested a typical Andean indigenous meal.

Our best lunch ever was lovingly prepared for us by the women of the Isla de la Luna.

Almost everything was locally grown and was absolutely delicious. It was all served on a long table.

We had several varieties of papas (potatoes), fava beans, choclos (corn on the cob), broccoli,
queso del campo (handmade country cheese), a spicy chili sauce, pan (bread) that was baked on the island,
plus Sublimes (our favorite Peruvian chocolate) for desert!
