BOLIVIA VISA INFORMATION

Our wonderful Bolivian Tour Company, Crillon Tours, will be assisting our group through the Bolivian Border Control and Immigration. However, nationals from GROUP 2 & GROUP 3 will need to obtain their Bolivian visa from a Bolivian Consulate or Embassy in their home country prior to travel. In some cases, a letter of invitation may be required with your visa application and this can be supplied by Crillon Tours. If processing times are estimated to be too long at the Bolivian Consulate in your home country or if you are not able to travel to a Bolivian Consulate, please check with your nearest Bolivian Embassy to see if you are able to obtain your visa at the Bolivian Consulate in Puno, Peru.

All Bolivian Visas are good for five years.

VISA REQUIREMENTS CHANGE OFTEN.
PLEASE CONTACT THE BOLIVIAN EMBASSY IN YOUR COUNTRY FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION.

Special Note to American Citizens:

There is misinformation regarding the visa requirements for US citizens. It is no longer required of US citizens to have the yellow fever vaccination when applying for a Bolivian visa, unless coming from a yellow fever zone. (Lima and Lake Titicaca are not yellow fever zones). However, if you make your visa application through a Bolivian Consulate or Embassy rather than through Crillon Tours at the Bolivian Border, you will be asked to supply a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

Our Bolivian Tour Company will be obtaining Bolivian visas for US nationals, unless you state otherwise on your 8th Gate 2 Registration Form.

VERY IMPORTANT: Remember to bring the payment for your Bolivian visa payment in US$ CASH with you. The cost is US $135.00. (Credit cards or other currancy are not accepted). Yes, this is very expensive, and Americans are the only ones charged this much, but this is the same amount that Bolivians are charged to enter the US. So please just see it as a donation to Bolivia....

Special Note: Please check all visa and entry requirements with the Bolivian Embassy or Consulate in your home country before travel. We have tried our very best to provide the most accurate information. However, visa and entry requirements for Bolivia can change without notice, so it is always recommended to check on the latest information BEFORE before travel.
